It SEEMS like one page is covered in these awesome illustrations and the other is words. It never tells you if the child is imaging it or not (but of course he is). The last time I read it was in the third grade so I cant remember much but him being shot through the air in a cannon seems to happen it. I LOVED this book and would like to find it again.

What type of illustrations (pencil, watercolor, etc.)
Was it old or new when you read it, and when was 3rd grade for you?
Picture book? Large, small? What color was the cover?
Anybody's name? Do you remember any of the adventures?
Was it by John Burningham?

Check with your local children's librarian.
