I would be so happy. I am a native Houstonian and i go to as many Astros games as possible, I would just love it if we brought home the title, i think it is very possible too becasue i feel we made some great off-season moves, the loss of pettite didnt hurt because we got jennings and williams, plus I feel we dont need Clemens, wandy and nieve will be fine in our rotaion. Well all in all, I would love it if the Astros won the World Series in 2007!

I would be surprised. I'm a huge Astros fan and have been since the days of the LAstros and DisAstros. I want them to win and I will be cheering for them to win, but realistically I don't see it happening. They don't have a top of the batting order anymore. With the trade of Taveras, and Biggio's declining numbers(still my favorite player ever) they don't have a real 1 or 2 hitter. Before anyone says it, Burke can't bat that high. He doesn't wait on the ball when he's up there, he gets too anxious. Scott, Lane, and Hidalgo are all 6 hitters, and Everett can't usually hit.
Another problem they face is the starting pitching. They have a 1, 2, 3, and two 5's. The problem here is that now days you need two 1's, a 2, 3, and two 4's. They'll be better off if Clemens comes back, which will only happen if they can remain in contention by July.
Again, I love the Astros, and I cheer for them. I don't live in Houston anymore, but I still go see them when they come to town. If they win it all, I will shove it in my roommate's face though. Everytime he talks about the Suns, I remind him that the Rockets have two more championships than their zero. He then turns it around on the Astros and their zero World Series compared to the Diamondbacks one. I really need this to get him good, it would make him mad.

I dont know why, but i find the astros the most annoying team in the league, maybe its cause of all the old guys they hav, although i must say they hav gotten a bit younger, but id be bored just like when i was bored when the sox swept them.

The only team I'd be in shock if they won the world series are the Royals.

They are a solid team, I would not be in complete shock if they won it all. Very good offense , good pitching , both starting and in the pen. If your asking how would I react emotionally, I could care less. The Mets are my boys.

I would be shocked if any National League team won it. I was last year when the Cardinals did.
But it is who is playing the best at the time, not necessarily the best team.

they're a good solid team, so i wouldn't be too surprised. they just need to get past the other good solid teams.
