Why are they bringing up the rape of Laura by Luke now? I have been watching for several weeks.I use to be a faithful GH fan, until it got boring without the Luke & Laura storyline and other characters from the show.Also the murder of Rick Webber, I want to say come on, it's been many,many, years.Are the writer's so stale, they have to bring the old story lines back.If any agrees with me? Shout out!

I have to agree with you that when they mentioned the rape I kinda shook my head to wonder why. Yes, if you've watched GH for years you know it took place in the 80's but they seemed to wash over it because Luke and Laura fell in love and their wonderful story began. I'm not really understanding what this is going to do to the show when they have the LuLu relive this event. It doesn't have anything to do with Rick Weber's death and it seems the only reason they are doing it is because Scotty is back and he's going to stir it up again. What will this prove to have LuLu know about this rape. Funny thing is when you think about how was Nicholas conceived? I know she was kidnapped but they really never got into that story. There are so many other stories worth going towards that this one didn't really need to come up again. Instead of LuLu looking into Rick's murder I would have rather seen Luke get into the story line himself.
I've watch GH since the 70's and I remember when it was a 30 minute show that I would rush home from school to watch.

I am a long time fan and agree with a lot of the other answers. The show has been all over the place. I guess the rape story line is to give Scott Baldwin something to stir up since LuLu doesn't know about it and to have some kind of a story line for LuLu. She does tend to grate on my nerves most of the time. Most of the time she's not very likeable. It is good to see Scotty back. Lets give him something to do. I am still wondering what happened to Robert and Anna. They were brought back, we got teased and they were gone. Surely there was many story lines to explore with them and Robin or with Luke. We older fans remember GH from its hey-day. Then out of the blue poor old Alan gets killed off for no good reason only to bring in two young guys to get mixed up with Maxie and bring in some other older doctor who appeared out of nowhere for whatever reason, or is he supposed to be a love interest for Nurse Epihany ? Since I am on a rant, I gotta complain about the over the top acting of Carly. And the whole Sonny/Carly routines They are boring and I am tired of all the air time these two get. She needs to take her rendition of Carly down a notch or two. She does better with Jax. Just tone it down a little, the Carly character was never a "hammy" actor. Give me more of Jason, Jason and more Jason. Less Sonny. I'll take more of Jax now that he's back from vacation. GH writers need to sit back and look at what they've done. There are some great characters already on the canvas, they should be used. There is nobody more entertaining than Luke and Tracy. Let's have a little more of those two. The Alexis storyline is great.

I agree. The story-lines are boring and not interesting right now. I don't get the big deal, so Laura didn't kill her step- father. The writers need another big event because the characters are all over the place and doesn't seem to change. Besides, Lulu shouldn't be the one to undercover the truth. It is the same story-lines from the past, example: Elizabeth, Lucky, and Jason triangle(why is Elizabeth having Jason baby in the first place!), Sonny and Carly marriage, Emily and Nickolas are having problems, Edward wants a heir, Maxie is involve with the wrong guy, etc. I stop watching it.

I think they are bring up the rape now so that Scotty can say well nothing I did to Laura is as bad as what Luke did also this is something that everyone in Lulus family knows about and has never told her, I think it will change her when she finds out the same way that it changed Lucky.

I completely agree! I watched it today and thought the very same thing, this show is rehashing old stuff! I also heard they are bringing Courtney back, which is good I guess, but what's she suppose to be, a twin sister? Then they bring Rick Springfield back...give me a break! I love Sonny, but they need to get alot more going on with him, it's always Carly, Carly, Carly. Not that I don't like her, I do, it's just getting so predictable. Can't get enough of Jason! The fact that Elizabeth is not telling Lucky the truth really ticks me off. Okay, I went on and on..sorry! But...oh yeah, you're right sister:)

this is why i stopped watching about a year ago....it got boring and too many ppl changed again and again...i've been watching for 25 years and it will never change
