Astronomy has nothing at all to do with being an astronomer. Astronauts are pilots and engineers. Think of what they do all day. They deploy and fix satellites and fly the shuttle.
If you are interested in astronomy, become an astronomer.

An interest in astronomy is good, but it takes a heckuva lot more than that to become an astronaut. You'll most likely need an advanced college degree with a heavy math/science emphasis for starters.
