I wouldn't disagree that China is following "politically-driven economic policies" but so is every other country in the world. What it sounds like you are concerned about is the fact that China has gotten powerful enough to begin encroaching on US hegemony.

The US has limited power to challenge China's policies. If China were to simply slow down with (not to mention stop) buying US bonds and such, then the US economy could quite possibly collapse. Fortunately that's not in their interest either, they depend on the US economy as much as the US depends on theirs.

So basically the answer is no. It is unlikely that anyone will challenge China's economic expansion.

I think the real question is: will the governments of the unfree world act appropriately against the United States' politically-drive economic policies? To some extent they have tried, for example, walking out on the Doha round, but they have a lot further to go.

Why single out China? All economic policies are politically-driven.

There are some indications that politicians in the United States and Europe are willing to challenge China's economic policies that have cost so many jobs in these two areas. Also, the millions of Chinese who are not benefiting from current policies are starting to complain.

China stole Americas cook book to grow the economy. China will not follow the west advice because it needs all the money it can grab to build roads, powerlines, fiber optic networks with export dollars, and thier merchantile scheme is a money raiser for that purpose. Cheap Yaun reduces puchasing power of the comsumer, but it also shift incentives to builds the things mentioned instead of comsume goods.

China policies economically no different than earlier Europe or America, Japan or South Korea I cant blame them for what there doing.
