Just listen and be there.... tell her that you are the friend that she can call at 3AM to talk to if she finds she needs someone then.... You know and everyone knows that those are the best friends in the world. The friends you can call at 3AM and they won't tell you "Do you know what time it is??" You tell her that you are there at anytime and she will love you for it. Also, buy her a bunch of flowers... just because.

My husband has experienced loss in his life, and always said people scattered in the midst of tragedy. I think what he missed from his friends was someone who would let him talk.

I think the most precious thing would be to tell your cousin that you don't know how she feels, but that you are there to listen as long as it takes. Just be honest and up front. Let her know you don't know what to say but wish you did. Ask what you can do, if anything.

Drop a card in the mail, leave a message on the phone saying you are thinking of her and to call if she needs to talk. Ask her out for a cup of coffee or a sandwich at lunch. Just be available.

I am sorry for your cousin's loss.

Let her know that Jesus loves her if she does not already know. Pray for her and with her. You cant take back what happen and talking about to her wont change anything. There is nothing you can do except be positive. I hope that helps a little.

just listen...and let your couisn know..you are there for her, and have a strong shoulder for her to lean on.

At times like this, there really are no reasuing words..the best thing to do, is let her go thryu her emtions..cryting, anger, hurt..confusions..etc..let her get it all out And tell her, you are there for her.
