Maybe my advice is:
If they call you stupid, then don't be mad with them nor be embarrassed with what they're doing to you. The best thing that you should do is make it as lesson for you or an inspiration for you to study more.
To let you know, when I was in my Grade 1 here in the Philippines, my classmates used to call me stupid or whatever, but I didn't let my self bothered by this. I focused on my study more and tried so much so that they'll recognized me. And I succeeded on that because at the end of the school year, I was recognized as the First Honors in our class.
See! If they're not calling me stupid, would I became First Honors?

Maybe He Like You. Or You Should Talk To A Close Friend Or Concular(sp). Or Maybe Even Your Teacher.I Know As A Teen It's Hard For Me To Tell On People When Their Doing Wrong. So I Would Suggest Talking To Your Teacher About Changing Seats . If None Of The Things Work,Maybe You're Just Going To Have To Face Him And Let You Know How You Feel And Tell Him It Hurts You And Say He Needs To Stop.
Hope The Best & Good Luck!

I would go and talk to my teacher after class and let him/her know what is going on. They are calling you stupid basically and you dont like that. If the teacher could move you to a different table or address them next time they are being rude jerks!! You should be put down at school and the teachers should not allow this to continue. If this is not resolved you need to talk to your parents or your councler at school ( that is what they are there for ) talk to your principal. This kinda thing needs to stop.
This is one of the hardest things to do is to speak up for yourself if you were not tough to from day one,
Good luck

r u the only one working with him? if not then try to get your other group members on your side, adn to tell him to lay off. peer pressure works really well sometimes it erases a problem completly. If that wont work, go POLIOTLY up to your teacher after class or before class, and tell him/her what your problem is. if they don't do anything, go to parents, another teacher, principal. some one who is more powerful than the teacher.
but before you do any of that, have you tried asking him why he's being so mean? is he doing anythign to speed up the work? don't cause a fight then no one wins. but just try to figure out why he's doing it. go from there. once you know why then you can figure out what you're supposed to do. Ask friends for advice on that topic, since they'll know you and him better.

I would ask the teacher to change you seats and explain why. If she says no, dont cry when teased, just ignore it, it probably wont stop but they will tone it down eventually. I got teased all thoughout elementary and junior high, until most of the kids moved away... school sucks there's nothing you can do about it

Don't get upset over it. That is what he want you to do, get upset when he calls you that. Next time just ignore him, or be like cool. I mean maybe he likes you? but its okay when he calls you stupid just be the better person and don't say anything look at him and roll your eyes

Tell your teacher to move you to a different group or move him. and you were smart to leave the room insted of jumping across the table. and he sounds like an idoite no real man calls a girl stupid to there face they would help them understan the subject more. you are the better person for controling your anger. dont let a butt head like that get to you. he is the stuiped one

I would ask the teacher if you can talk to her privately, and then ask her about switching seats. If she/he says no, politely ask if the next time seats are switched, you can sit by someone else. Then, put up with him as best you can, and just try to ignore him, hard as that might be.

Ok girl this is how it is. Dont let it show that its getting to you. And come off with some real good comments about him to piss him off at you. He will in turn stop his crap because your standing up to him. And dont back down for nothing

Tell your teacher. He/she will most likely move your seat. Hope this helps!
