IOMega has a number of external backup choices and tends to be one of the most reliable manufacturers. Just check the options and decide which features and price fit your needs best.

I myself have an IOMega Silver 250MB Desktop USB drive and it works quite well. Besides the drive itself, you also need to look for one that comes with good backup software, which the IOMegas normally have.

If you want to use this drive, additionally as a back-up for all your data, or as an image of your OS and data, then a large external HDD is probably the ticket. If however you are going to use this drive simply for temporary memory, for the purpose of transferring files under 1GB, then a simple USB 2.0 Flash ( thumb) drive should be sufficient. If it gets full, just delete the files or reformat it.
I use the thumb drive to transfer teaching aids from home PC to facility PC. The only one I have had a problem with is the ACP-EP 1GB USB 2.0 drive, which I am returning for exchange.

well it all depends on how big ur files are. yea u can use ur pen drives if the files are small in size. if it is in GBs then i iwll recommend using external hard drives. nowadays u can buy some kinda wire which can transfer stuffs between PCs. u can ask about dat in any pcshops. make sure those files are not infected before u transfer them. hope it helps ok bye

USB drives are convenient and reasonably priced. I do have a question...If they are both your computers...why not network them and share files across that network? It is just as easy and doesn't cost anything extra (especially if you have a wireless router at home).

I use a 2GB Sandisk (see below) for files at work:

but you can pick up a 256MB or a 512MB from Comp Usa for about $20 to $50 depending on the brand.

USB's are great but easy to lose. I found some unreal deals at megamacs.com (they have stuff for reg pcs as well) and their products are of great quality! Maybe the price will be a deciding factor for you.
