if you want a cheap phone or a first phone, the kyocera oystr is $20-$30 at walmart or target. they are really durable phones, and they are pre-paid with top-up cards. i have an oystr of my own and it's worked out pretty well for me!

Get the free phone possibly with camera.
Most of the time people buy fancy phones but they do not use the functions.
But if you think buying a $300 phone will impress someone it is your decision.

I have a motorola razor with camera. So cool. You could either get pay as you go (Go phone) or contract for 2yrs. I have never had a problem with any of the motorola phones I have had.

go into the store and find out what you want the phone to do and go from there many phones to buy I have the razer why for the bigger screen camera I will be going to one that does it all next

sony ericcson w801i or something like that. its the small black and orange one with the walkman on it and u can listen to the radio on it also. great camera too
