Collectively Governments spend much more on Education and Health care than they do arms.

Worldwide arms spending is estimated around 1.1 trillion dollars.

The US alone spends over 1.4 Trillion on health care.

The US alone spends over 580 billion per year on Education.

If it was a just world, governments would only spend money on defense and zero dollars on education and healthcare, leaving our money in our pockets to educate and care for ourselves. The only collective thing a country needs is defense.

Yes defence is a legitimate job of government, but we employ them! What is it that they think they are going to have defend us against? And when all the defending is done will we have a health system to heal the remainders? I did catch a figure of nineteen times more spent on military hardware than public health, however the military have added to the pool of medical technology in their role of destructive operations.

Who cares?

Defense is a legitimate function of government.

Health care is not.

Private corporations should not be allowed to form armies, for reasons which should be obvious.

Government should stay out of the health care business, for reasons that would be obvious to anyone who's researched what Socialized medicine is like in real life.
