I say cleveland wins it and minnesota takes the wild card
Cleveland has improved since last season. Everywhere you look Cliff lee is out till late april early may. There bullpen is ok, starting pitch is good, and there offense is great.....
As for minnesota all i have to says is Mauer,Santana, Mourneau, and Nathan will get them the wild card

I think it will be between Chicago, Detroit and Minnesota. With Cliff Lee out until at least June now, it starts again for Cleveland. They cannot catch a break - except for the bad ones.

Tough question.Thata is by far the best divison in baseball with 4 contending teams and the Royals.I know all Chicago and Detroit fans will hate me for this but they will both do worse then last year.Chicago will be just above 500. while Detriot will win about 85 games. The Twins and Indians will be neck and neck for the division and either one of them could take it.The Twins are so consistent while the Indians are a much improved team over last year.Whoever does not win it will get the wild card because despite what everyone says Boston is overrated and AL West just isn't that good.So I say the Twins will take it by 1 game and the Indians will get the wild card.I cannont find anywhere that Cliff Lee is out untill June.I dound Mid-April.So he will miss 3 or 4 starts it wont kill the Indians too bad.I believe everyone is overreacting on this.

I think that Detroit will win the division again due to stronger
pitching. Maybe Chicago or Minnesota will be the wild
card this year. It all depends on good pitching for these
teams.

As a White Sox fan, i do no longer thump my chest. I go away that for the babies who do no longer understand extra clever. I do say that Detroit ought to win. they're the main gifted of the 4 communities competing interior the divison. For them to no longer win the critical this year could be a enable down i think of. yet in view that all and sundry is writing off Chicago, i might think of that Chicago beating out Detroit could be a marvel.

the twins, sox and tigers all have recent postseason experience and have shown the ability to win when it's needed most.
the tigers have the bad taste of last year's world series loss to motivate them. verlander and bonderman together may be as good as johan santana alone for the twins. cleveland can hit the ball a little, and the sox can hit it a lot but i'm not convinced their pithcing is good enough. so...
whoever plays the royals most often in september should come away division champs.
