First a really nice big tank. It doesn't have to be deep, just long and wide. They can get to about 20" and need even more space than you might think. A 90 gallon wouldn't be an understatement for a wolf fish. Be sure they tank has a tight fitting heavy lid as wolf fish are quite powerful jumpers. Artifical plants and bogwood are good decor choices. They can and will damage plants if given the chance.

Water conditions aren't really that important, they do well in a wide range of pH and hardness. They like it a bit on the cool side for tropical fish, 70 - 76 F is good for them. Obviously you need to keep only one per tank and it should be alone or with very, very large fishes.

Feed mostly live food in the form of other fish. As the wof fish gets some size on it feeder goldfish will be barely enough for it so be ready to buy larger fish for it to eat.
