I've been on the pill for about three and a half years now, first Alesse, now Tricyclen Lo. I'm usually pretty good with taking them properly, sometimes taking them a few hours late, but rarely missing them. My last period came about half a day later than it usually does (sometimes it's a day early, but it's been awhile since it was later than three days after i stop taking the pills) but then when it came, I experience my period like normal, nothing unusual. Now it's been about six days since my period ended - almost a week into my next pack of pills, and I've noticed that I've been urinating way more frequently, or at least feeling like I have to go, and when I do it hurts. The first day I experienced this, there was some blood in my urine. The last time I had sex before my period came was about four days before. I haven't experienced any other signs of pregnancy. I know it's possibly, but is it likely that I am pregnant?

I'd say that your chances of being pregnant are pretty low. I used to take birth control pills, and I had the same thing start happening too me. Frequency for urinating can be cause from a number of different things including a yeast infection, unrinary tract infection, and etc. For me it was a yeast infection (which are EXTREMELY COMMON amongst women who take brith control pills.) Honestly, the best and safest thing for you too do is go to your dr and tell her what's goin on so no matter what it is, you will know. Good luck to you and best wishes!!

I don't think you are pregnant. Like some other people here, I also suspect that you have UTI (urinary tract infection). Does it sting when you urinate? There are over the counter tests at the pharmacy for UTI, but if I were you I would go see my doctor. Meanwhile, drink lots of cranberry juice - it helps with the infection. But do take it seriously! Aside from the pain and bleeding UTI can cause more serious problems.

I hope you'll feel better soon.

Sounds like either a Urinary Tract Infection or a Kidney Infection. You definitely need to get to the doctor before this gets worse. In the mean time drink cranberry juice or vinegar, both will help cleanse your system, but you really need to go to the Doctor A.S.A.P.
Take care.
