How can I keep internet explorer from opening unauthorized windows?

I can be on one page typing and another one will open up about an advertisment. I have the pop up blocker on but it still happens. Also my computer is starting to slow down. Please help me!!!!!

Your problem is most likely with Spyware and/or Adware. Two programs you might want to try downloading and installing are Spybot and Adaware to get rid of such software.

I had this problem as well with IE. I downloaded the Firefox browser that is better because it does not have errors and you can open pages in tabs which is better. I have placed in the source box where you get a free download direct from Google. It is at the bottom left of the page.

Sounds like you may have some Spyware/ Adware on your PC. Run a good anti-virus on your computer and you might be surprised on what you find.
