Im 14, and i'm thinking of being an author later on in life but when i read books it seems like the author is really smart.

Well you do need to learn how to spell, know your punctuation, and english. It would be nice to have a IQ over 100 though. I don't think alot of people would want to read a story where they can't understand what the person is saying. Maybe you can start writting your on stories right now to help you. I know a website called fictionpress.com Just some adivice, I hope it helped.

oo gosh no. most authors just have amazing stories to tell, like if they had a terrible childhoood or something. the memoir i'm reading right now, the kid didnt even go to school. but you do have to have a lot of common sense and know how to spell. thats about it.

you dont have to be a genius just know what you are talking about, look at the way other authors put the words together and try it.

or you could just have a really good imagination. but there are also people that edit the books and sometimes they have people help them write.

well just FYI you wouldn't say do you got thats a double negative you would say do you have to be
so stay in english for a little while longer

but no as long as you have ideas a creativity you can do it
