I think that BONO is hands down.He rocks.....and is awesome....U2 is the greatest band and are untouchable..

Can't believe you could ask such a thing as this! Bono, with NO question, is a better singer! He always puts so much heart and soul into every song that the band plays. Not to mention, he writes all of his own lyrics, which are soooooooo amazing and heartfelt! Every song has some message that you can relate to. Anyways, yeah, Bono is a better singer, without a doubt!
Oh! See them live before you die!
And Yeah! for Bono's efforts in Africa!

Bono, hands DOWN. Bono is a classic Irish tenor with a fantastic singing range who can do everything from bluesy soul to falsetto pop. Bono actually sings, whereas the guy from Def Leppard sorta shrieks.
Plus U2's songs have far more depth and originality, and unlike most heavy metal, they write lyrics about something other than sex, hot women, and bad love affairs.

Um...Bono of course!
The really funny thing about it is that in the early days of U2, they couldn't decide who would be the lead singer. Bono didn't think he could sing. I think he was crazy personally, because even in the earliest singles (like "11 O'Clock Tick Tock," for example) he's got it.
Bono isn't just a great singer (love his falsetto!), but he's a charismatic performer and he has heart. He has the whole package!

Well they are two totally diffrent styles of music, Bono does great pop music and joe elliot does really good rock music, in my opinion they both are good in their own ways and are great singers..
