I want to see how many people are hating on the tarheels! I love to see who gets upset over this.

Their are people where I live who just love duke and some on myspace.

I am not a real Tarheel fan but i do not hate them either. They have always had a great BB program and you can just about count on them being in the running year in and year out.
In years past the ACC was THE premier conference what with NC, NC State, Wake Forest, Duke and Maryland. I always like that conference although my passion always has been and always will be Memphis......formerly Memphis State.......But I don't hate the Tarheels

I'm a tarheels fan, and I don't really think people hate on the Tarheels. Their the same as any other big time program: Duke, UCLA, Florida, Kansas. Any team that is good and enjoys success is going to be hated. Most tarheel haters are Kansas fans who are still pissed that Roy Williams ditched them for the better team. Bite it Kansas!

People don't like teams that do well almost every year especially if their team is having a down year. Duke fans don't like the Heels and I like the other guys answer about Kansas. Some are prolly still mad because Roy came home. They'll get over it just like Indiana fans got over May going to Carolina instead of playing for them. Personally I think more teams hate Duke than the Tar Heels.

many people hate the GREATS such as Duke, UNC, Notre Dame, Texas, UCLA and so on. I personal think it's because the over HYPE. Yes these teams are all greats (not so much Notre Dame but they are over rated in every sport...) but its the fact that the only thing sports center and NCAAB commontators
talk about is how great these teams are and there star players are. Yes the teams are good, but its college basketball any team can beat any team. I myself don't hate UNC at all. They are a great dynasty as well as Duke and UCLA.
But teams such as Texas and Notre dame that are looked at as amazing but never win the big one...its all about the HYPE

Because they are soooo overrated!!! They suck and so does their coach! The only reason he ever won a championship is because he took over a good team. They are now gone they are terrible and so is their coach!!!! Go HOYAS in the Elite Eight! Georgetown by 20!
