i was perscribed birth control almost a month ago, and i really want to start it, however my gyn. told me to start it on the first day of my period, however i havent had my period since then and i am really anxious to start birth control. the reason i went on was because i had an irregular period, and the birth control is suppossed to regulate it. so what would happen if i started the birth control not on the day of my period?

That is called the quick start to birth control pills. I will give you a link to check out. You must be sure you are not pregnant before starting them. You should really call your Dr and ask his advice on the matter.

probably nothing, but if you're going to have sex you would have to use another form of birth control i think. Not really sure always started mine when they told me.
