used to , but now longer lives here. and they keep sending them to me?

Send them back saying they do not live there

If they are really sending them to you, and not the person who lived there before, then call them, and ask them to stop. Explain that you have no knowledge of the other persons whereabouts. Make a note of the person's name whom you speak with, and the date and time of the call. Allowing for three or four days, in case something is in the mail, should you get any more, call again, and explain that you had spoken with someone previously, get this persons name, and note the time and date, of the call. Prior to hanging up inform them that should this continue, you will sue them for harassment.

Some of the other answers sound ok. But maybe go to the local court and get a small claims form? Fill it in, send it back, get a reply and then send a copy of the answers to the person bothering you.

If you know of the friends whereabouts ( address) mark all materials "return to sender" and write new address on it as well! I have did it b4 myself!

open the letters, get the phone no, ring them and give them the persons new address. if you dint know it just tell them he/she doesn't live there any more.

Put a line across their name, and write MOVED on it. Then put it back in the mail.
