Not at first, but I'd suggest not sleeping on it. It will probably be sore and try not to get your hair stuck in the back. Also, be careful when washing your hair for the next few days. It might not seem like it hurts, but then you bump it and start all over again.

Not anymore than getting a regular ear piercing. I just could not get mine to heal. I ended up taking it out and letting it heal over. Don't be frightened, its done before you know it.

i had mine done last year. and it barely hurt at all. it felt just like getting a piercing in your earlobe. it might be a little sore later but thats about it. dont worry its really not bad at all. just keep it clean and turn the earring everyday

just a pinch at first, but it generally doesnt hurt after its done unless you get an infection. I have 5 cart. piercings and they are all pain free and fine. dont worry- its over before you know it. good luck.
