When I'm on facebook or something, looking at pictures, it pops up EVERY 2 seconds. It says Internet Explorer Script Error and asks if I want to continue running scripts. I just keep clicking yes & it's fine but it's really annoying!!

Open Internet Explorer, click on Tools at the top, click Internet Options.

In the window that comes up click on the Advanced tab at the top, and check BOTH of the boxes that say "Disable Script Debugging", and also check the box that says "Display a Notification about every script error".

Now click OK, and close Internet Explorer and reopen it. Try the site you got the error on and it should not give an error.

Internet Explorer Options > Advance Tab>

Default setting:

Check boxes
Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer)
Disable script debugging (other)

Uncheck box (may want to try enabled also)
Disable a notification about every script error
---------------------------
Run Internet Explorer with no add-ons installed
Start - All Programs -Accessories -Systems Tools - Click on “Run Internet Explorer (no add-ons)” If IE runs ok you have one or more bad add-ons.

In IE tools - Programs - Click on “Manage Add-ons”. Disable all add-ons then restart. Enable one add-on and restart. If ok enable another ad-on. Repeat until you find the add-on(s) that are causing the problem.

If this does not work you may need to reinstall IE7, uninstall IE7 with Ad/Remove programs. This will take you back to IE6.
Run Windows Live OneCare “Full Service Scan” http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm
Reboot.
Reinstall IE7

I found Advanced Seachbar chanced the following registry item. Spybot - Search & Destroy correct this change during it next scan.

We've had some reports of an IE Script error that pops up when you are trying to run a scan. We have found in one case that an key in the registry is preventing scripts from running on the local machine. If you run in to a script error and have a version of IE 7 installed try going to regedit and looking for the following key:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_LOCALMACHINE_LOCKDOWN]

"iexplore.exe"=dword:00000000

You can either delete it or set the value to 1, we have found that both work. And then try running the scanner again.

Thanks,

I had this problem as well with IE. I downloaded the Firefox browser that is better because it does not have errors and you can open pages in tabs which is better. I have placed in the source box where you get a free download direct from Google. It is at the bottom left of the page.

Correction to Hallmike's answer: you want to check both "Disable Script Debugging" boxes and UNcheck "Display notification about every script error".
