Which games are you talking about? The ones that don't run a windows installer are simple.
If you installed those games after downloading, go into control panel and use add/remove programs to uninstall them. As for the original compressed files you downloaded, just delete those and empty the recycle bin when you're done.

Try going into the "My Computer" icon on the desk top. Find the folder where your games are saved. Select the files you want to delete and press the backspace button or delete button. If you can't find which folder your games are located, go to the start menu and select either "search" or "find files/folders" (depending on the version of your Windows program). You would have to type in the name of your game in the search section. This should pull up the directory where your game(s) is/are located. You can then follow my steps from the beginning to delete.

If you go to your control panel through my computer there is a section called install/uninstall programs. You should be able to find the programs name on the list that the computer gives you. Just click the uninstall/change button and it will take you through the processes of getting rid of it. That should be the end of that pesky program that won't go away.

If you know the names of the files, run regedit, and look for them there, and delete them, but do a backup first, in case you delete the wrong file.
