what is the alternative for group policies in windows xp home?

i actually wanted to navigate into group policies to change something in qos packet sheduler.in run when i typed "gpedit.msc"it did not opened so what is the alternative

There is no alternative for group policy in Xp home, although if you want to change the QOS packet scheduler value to get more of your internet bandwidth, then simply turn off your automatic updates it will automatically get set to 0%, Now just update your computer manually in one month by enabling it again, that's all.
