im 17 and i have a bf hes 20 who my dad hates because of fights me and my bf have and he gets a lil rough. my dad wants me to leave him and he has threatened to call the cops on him. he wont let me talk to him now, wont let me see him, i cant get rides to school wit him anymore. and my dad says he is doing it for me because he loves me but he doesnt understnad hes making me feel like he took every ounce of happiness i have. i need to make him understand i love my bf and i need him. and he loves me. how can i get my dad to understand this? i need to b wit my bf i cant b forced to not see him. i love my daddy but im gonna have to leave if he cant respect me and i really dont wanna leave. any dads have any personal experience wit their daughters and bfs and tips on how to get my dad to understnad?

Your Dad is right. If he gets rough with you when you fight now, it will only get worse. Sorry....but chances are your Dad sees something in him that you don't. You'll find happiness elsewhere, believe me.

Your father is doing the best thing for you,you want him to open his eyes to your feelings,but it is you, who is blind to the FACT, that if you leave to be with your bf,you will be living a life, of HELL on earth, in an abusive relationship and may end up DEAD at his hands when you do try to leave.
Your bf is no man if he has to beat you up for having a different opinion than him.He does not love you,he wants to control you,like a slave or a pet.

Listen to your father. Put your trust in him even though you don't understand his reasonings. God commands us to honor our parents.
Your father has been alive at least twice as long as you have. If your boyfriend is rough now, it will only get worse.
What makes you feel like that's all you can get? What makes you feel you deserve that? Don't you know you will fall in love again? And before you do, make a list of what you will put up with and not put up with. Raise your standards before you attract the same kind of guy, again.

You're actually trying to get your father to save you from this boyfriend, because your father's never given you enough attention. And you're hell-bent on destroying your own life, if you can't get your father to do your bidding. You're very self-destructive and if you don't get some help for yourself, you're going to end up in a very sad place.
