My Friend was saying it was the McLaren F1 and the record was broken by the Koenigsegg Automotive and after that the recent record is now held by the Bugatti Veyron...i think its the Bugatti...but what really is it, and could you provide the speed(if present).

your buddys right, it was the f1, at 241 then the koenigsegg at i think 253 then the Bugatti and i got no clue whats the top speed

handbuilt cars do not qualify for this rank
it requires building 100 thats why mclauren only built 100 f1's, if you can manage to give up a few mph in top speed the mclauren GTR is actually quicker, problem is theres only 8 on the planet...

if handbuilt did work, **** gale banks would be a household name WORLDWIDE

none of those cars are even close to the fastest in the world. They may have the top speed record for street legal production cars, but theyre hardly the fastest things on the ground. Top speed is a very simplistic and lame way to judge which car is faster.

many cars are faster around tracks than any of those listed, And when you get into non-street legal cars, the thrust SSC broke the sound barrier, and top fuel dragsters hit like 330 in a 1/4 mile.

and the veyron hit 253. The dauer 962 was in between the Mclaren F1 and the koenigsegg holding the record. there is no 100 car production limit. The mclaren produced 75 roadgoing vehicles and 25 racecars for racing reasons, not some stupid top speed record. only 5 or so dauers were ever produced, and i dont even know if koenigsegg has produced 100 cars period, let alone of any model.
