Are the hotels accessable for a wheelchair? Are the city streets and entertainment spots accessable?

Do not know about the hotels. Quiet sure most of them will be accessable for a wheelchair. The Intercontinental Hotel for example advertises having handicapped room/facilities.
Streets and entertainment spots will be a big problem. The side walks in Abu Dhabi are very high and crossing the streets would only be possible at traffic lights. Otherwise it would be to dangerous, cause no car is stopping for people crossing the streets by using the crosswalks unless it's one with a traffic light.
Only bigger malls have an elevator, but I have never seen a bathroom nowhere suitable for a handicapped person. Thinking about a wheelchair - I live in Abu Dhabi since years and have seen people sitting in a wheelchair maybe three times in a supermarket. Also take in consideration that you will have to take a cab going around. I do not know how helpful these cab drivers here are, coz normaly they do not get out of the car.

THE CITY OF ABU DHABI IS ONE OF THE MOST MODERN IN THE ARAB WORLD.
THE LAW HERE MAKES IT MANDATORY TO HAVE HANDICAPPED PARKING IN ALL STREETS. SIMILARLY, ALL OR MOST BUILDINGS HAVE WHEELCHAIR SLOPES FOR EASY ACCESS FOR SUCH PEOPLE..............

not just that there r facilities for special people every where but the people in general will also help u in case u need hand any where in a public place for sure.
