He is bisexual.Tell her she needs to dump him as soon as possible.It's a shame because they have been together a long time.

...Wow. Any who I think that she should talk to him, and if he listens and she listens to what he has to say, things may compromise...and it may work out. So this guy may be lying about his occupation (bi,gay,or strait) and that your friend should ask him, before she gets hurt more, or permanently.

well, he is obviously gay!! Or he just does not like her and wants out of the relationship. He is to chicken shlt to tell her he wants to break up so this is his excuse so she wont be mad at him.
He's cheating on her.
