i have just answered the run over by a bus Question and found myself touching wood!! and also felt a need to type in 'touch wood' what do you do when you see a single magpie ??

No magpies (because I don't think I could spot one to save my life, knock wood), but the one I am most concerned with is this:
if any kitchen utensil drops onto the floor, I have to step on it (and yes I wash it) because I don't want any unexpected visitors!
