dreams are a way of the subconscious mind going through the thoughts of the day and filing them... these could be just random thoughts or memories that your mind was sorting through and reading to decide what to file and what to ditch... many dreams dont mean a thing....

your dream may be your subconscious mind telling you something tho... it must be a strong messege.... violent dreams like falling or dying or nightmares are usually strong messeges... not necessarily negative ones... just something to call your attention to things...

you may be having regrets about doing something ... sinning, if you believe in that sort of thing ... and are afraid of your bad deed or deeds coming back to haunt you... to take something as trivial as buying beer and somehow being punished for it is what lead me to this idea... you may know of something bad that you have done and you want the repercussions to be over and done with so you can move on... that is purely directly form your dream if you dream in metaphores....

you might be psyching urself up to sober up... forcing yourself to invent consequences for drinking... i dont know.... dreams often relate to your life... two people who have the same dream would have different interpretations relating to what is happening in their life...

you should examine your own life and see if there is something which you are afraid of happening... that is my opinion....

Carl Jung was a solid believer in dream interpretation and its use in psychoanalysis. Much more so than Freud I believe. Go buy all of his books and read them. Then you can interpret this dream and others for yourself.
