Because a serious attempt must be made to make the sports fair. Just because some people choose to take the risks involved in steroids, they should not be allowed to have an advantage over those who choose to live their lives safely. Steroids are extremely dangerous when used for performance enhancement. People have been known to die from them.

Who said athletes can't use steroids? They can't use it to get extra advantage when participating in any competition.
Under Doctor's advice they could take steroid but should make sure that there is no residual effect before participating in any event.
There are many who still take a chance and hope they will not get picked in the random testing.
Why can't men be allowed to take part along with women in any sporting events?

If you let athletes use steroids you are no longer measuring who has the most talent, you are measuring who responds the best to a synthetic drug. What type of role model are we offering kids? The last thing I want to see in the Grade 7's I teach is "Roid Rage".

Atheletes should not use steriods as most of the time they are global celebrities & also role models for some. So, if they start using it then people following their footsteps blindly might also not find anything bad in it .
This way the whole world might get spoilt.
It would also not be in the spirit of sports to use it & as it can also be called as cheating.

when are they going to start getting rid of this "people" that are constantly in trouble with the law, use drugs, drive with no license, beat their spouse? You get paid millions of dollars to be in the spotlight but the military troops get nothing!
Why not ban athletes for using any and all drugs!!! Not just steriods

Becuase Track & Field events wont be a challange anymore, If everyone is going to take steriods everyone is going to be good, and for those who are not good and take steriods and win, they will be getting rewards from something that should be given to the people who really try and the one that dont take steriods.
