I don't think so I think the Twinkie's are the team to beat.

As a White Sox fan, I don't thump my chest. I leave that for the kids who don't know better. I do say that Detroit SHOULD win. They are the most talented of the 4 teams competing in the divison.
For them not to win the Central this year would be a let down I think. But since everyone is writing off Chicago, I would think that Chicago beating out Detroit would be a shock.

No they will not. They're like the Royals a few years ago. A fluke. This year they will remember they are the Detroit Tigers and will have competition.
Despite the fact Brad Radke is retired, and Francisco Liriano had Tommy John surgery, the Minnesota Twins will win their 2nd straight division title (5th in the last 6 years mind you). The Twins may not have any major homerun threats, aside from the MVP, Justin Morneau, but they have a lineup full of guys that can get on base and knock in the RBIs. That's always been the Twins way of playing. Small ball IMO is more exciting than watching tons of homeruns go out game after game.
My prediction is:
1. Twins
2. Indians
3. Tigers
4. White Sox
5. Royals

They have a good shot at it.
But I am NOT going to count on it.
Not with Cleveland improving, and Minnesota still being a damn good team.
I think Cleveland, Minnesota, and Detroit will all have a great year...any one of those teams could win it.
Alot of it depends on how well each gets started. If Detroit gets off to a real good start, then probably yes.
I am NOT going to get all cocky (like whiney sux fans) and YES WE WILL! because I know that each team has to play games ButI do like our chances. Especially with Jim (BIG DADDY) Leyland as manager.
I will go out on a limb and say, if they dont win the Central they will be the wild card again.

I think the Twins will win the Al Central this year, but the Tigers won't be too far behind, neither will the Indians, the Royals will suck, and the White sox will be about .500

Yes, but they had better not stumble because the rest of the division is so strong. If Chris Shelton can hit like we've been told he can, and Sheff comes back strong, then barring injuries, they should win the division this year.

On paper, yes, they look like the strongest team in AL Central. But once the season starts, there are too many variables -- health, unexpected dropoff in players' performances, etc. Remember, the Whitesox were the favorite to win it last year and they came in 3rd.

No,I think they will fall back to 3rd place this year. Not because they are any worse but because the Indinas are improved be a lot.The Twins and White Sox will also challenge them.So I predict they win roughly 90 games but fall behind the Twins and Indians in the division.

Yes barring any serious injuries...Jim Leyland is one heck of a coach and judge of talent...Their staff/pitching was very young and should be even better..Same with those Bats
