There is nothing funny about so-called British humour. I wish David Walliams and that fat poof would just disappear up their own a*ses

comic relief....a good cause, very worthy.
how many celebs were there asking for cash?
let's pick a couple from around the place eh?
paul mcartney, micky jackson, bill gates....oil billionaires....why the hell do these people not get together and donate a million or two each...the charities will then be able to just take the interest it makes and virtually wipe out most of the problems these poor countries face.
bill gates was quoted to be richer than 25 of the countries of the world, would he miss a few million....no, he would make it back in a very short while, even if he does not make it back....he has more than enough to live on and will never ever be able to spend it, same with most of the others, people gave them a brilliant life, time they paid it back and more.
there should be no need for red nose day or aid concerts, there is enough money to solve best part of the third world problems (obviously cannot bring rain) but with more wells, pipelines etc water could be taken to them.
malaria and aids is being interbred, babies dont even get a chance of a 'free' life, they are doomed before they can walk.
free contraception would be a great start and an excellent way to stop the spread of such diseases, it may sound harsh but the best way to stop a problem is from where it begins, prevention rather than cure.
those not at risk could be given the go ahead to have children and start a disease free line to continue the population, those with diseases should be made to realise that having children means they will never be disease free.
then with the help of the rich mans money, the whole nation can look forward to a healthier, easier and more comfortable life.
end of rant.

It was a bit slow to start, but after 9pm things hotted up. But you seem miss the point, yes it's entertainment but the bigger picture is all the unnecessary suffering around the world. We have the means to help, so shows such as this are an ideal way of getting the message across. And Yes David Walliams did wear trousers (later on in the show).

It was an excellent show through and through.
I tryed to stay up and watch the whole thing but fell asleep about 12.
They totally outdone them selves this year, even though old Terry Wogan wasn't the front man (I dont know if thats a good thing or what )
I donated a few quid out of my meager wages on the net.

comic relief is fairly some crap And Davina is faulty -all of us do make a contribution already surely, with assistance from paying our television licence to the BBC If a majority of those 'celebrities' in the teach gave a share of their wealth to charity they doesn't opt to attraction to the 'recession hit' public

I was unable to warch CR due to work but in reply to some answers, of course it should be entertaining, why would anyone watch it otherwise? I agree with you FF contraception would go a long way to help solve the problems. You know, clinical as it seems, it's natures' way of controlling the population to sustainable levels, although of course no one wants to see the terrible suffering.
Safcian, how do you know that Bill Gates and the like don't contribute to charity? Many do but like to keep a low profile. Elton John for example is documented as contributing to charity.
We should try to help those less fortunate and give thanks to your God that it's not you in their position.
Keep smilin'.

Yes, I hate Fern Cotton and Lenny Henry is so arrogant I can't stand him so I never sit through the whole thing but caught Dawn French acting like a dirty old sex crazed woman around Sting and I thought it was really cringeworthy. Used to love the vicar of Dibley but after seeing that I realise that she's definitely too old now for the part.

I've not watched it, but I'm sure you're not wrong.
But the answerers are also right: raising money is the aim, for a range of causes. Contraception costs money you know.

Thoroughly enjoying the show, Deal or no Deal was hilarious, millions of pounds raised for a very good cause, for people less fortunate than ourselves. Well done to everybody who contributed. £38 million raised and its only 01-37hrs
