The elected officials do not pay for their fuel or heating cost so they could care less what happens to prices. You must be forgetting that the rich run this country and they manage to deduct all their expenses. The both parties are controlled by old big money families and it is getting just like a foreign country lately. The people pretend to have a say in government when really all the candidates are decided by big Whigs not the common people. Wise up America and start new parties without the big money control.

I agree that the oil prices are out of control, and it doesn't seem to be getting any better in terms of cost for the American public. However, I don't agree that it is our government necessarily that is to blame for the spike in oil prices. There are many factors that contribute to the increase in cost, such as the demand for oil. If you think about it the majority of the American public drive vehicles fueled by gasoline as well as large SUV size cars which guzzle alot of oil. Other factors are outside the United States such as the missile situation in North Korea and the growing turbulence in the Middle East which is the largest provider of crude oil. my suggestion to some how ease the stress that you may be feeling at these prices is to maybe think about purchasing a hybrid car if you have the funds to do so. I live in California where in my opinion gas prices could be the highest. I have a college degree and make above average pay, and for that I am thankful because I am able to live some what comfortably in our ever more expensive economy, including the gas prices!! Hope this was helpful!! ;-)

using fact the oil agencies are not those doing the screwing. Oil did no longer get extra high priced. The money on your wallet are nicely worth under they have been various years in the past using fact of printing money out of skinny air. once you enhance the money grant, the fee of money is going down, and the fee of issues pass up. Oil grow to be $20 or $30 a barrel a pair years in the past. Now that's over $a hundred. that may no longer the oil agencies' fault. that's the fault of our government spending better than it takes in, and attempting to print money to cover what it would not have. That reasons inflation and an enhance interior the fee of oil.
