This is my first pregenacy and i was just want to know what are some signs of larbor and i am 38 weeks

There are a few different things that can tip you off.. You could lose your mucus plug (gross but true), you will be able to tell. Your water could break, sometimes a gush of fluid, or sometimes it comes out like you're going #1 but you're not. Also contactions are different for everyone, they can be mild or very strong. A good way to tell if you're having contractions is to feel your belly when you think you're having one, if you are, your stomache will be firm and you might experience slight pain or cramping. You should read up on Braxton Hicks if you haven't already (False Contractions).. Well Good luck with the labor and the new baby.

HI! You might get lower back pain, kind of like a period-pain ache. Or your "mucous plug" will come away ( looks like a big blob of bloody mucous) which means you could start anywhere from that day to a week away. Or your waters might break, not necessarily in a big gush, you might just feel a bit damp or notice wetness in you pants. Also your muscles across your belly might tighten up, this is the start of contractions, they might not hurt at the start or they might be quite strong straight away.
Everybody starts labour differently and the waiting can be be a bit scary but its not as bad as some people make out and it is sooo worth it afterwards! Good luck!!

When I started labor I didn't realize it was labor, I just noticed I was have some lower back pain while I was grocery shopping. Then I woke up in the middle of the night with my abdomen muscles contracting. Believe it or not I STILL didn't realize I was in labor because I had been having those same muscle contractions off and on over the last month of pregnancy.
It wasn't until the muscle contractions got longer and I started pacing around my apt because I was uncomfortable and couldn't sleep did I realize I was in labor! :o)

Umm...this might sound disgusting but true...When I went into true labor my labor pains felt like I had to do number two. I sat in the bathroom for two hours literally before I realized that I didn't need to do number two and that I was actually in labor.

with my first child i had pretty bad pains in my back so i got in the shower on my hands and knees and let warm water run on my back. as soon as i got out of the shower i went to the bathroom and lost my mucus plug then put on my sun dress walked out into the living room and my water broke! so needless to say it all happened very quick for me. 6 1/2 hours later i had my son in my arms!
