Every year my parents go out on a date for their anniversary and for tha past maybe 4 years I've thrown them a "party" for the now five of us. I'm out of gift and decorating ideas, and i wanted to make this really unique and special! I'm not old enough to drive so does anyone have any ideas of what I can do for them?

Hey, Pinkster, whatta daughter! I think what you're attempting to do is absolutely fabulous! However, let's look at this from your parents point of view...

Please understand that their wedding did not include you or the other two that you mention. Consequently, a true Wedding Anniversary celebration would not, under normal circumstances, include the children. So... let's assume that this "special" anniversary celebration should only be for the two of them...

Get some relatives and friends to chip in a few dollars and rent them a room for the night at a nice local hotel. Have the hotel set the room up in "Anniversary Decor" with flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, champaign and etc. Let the hotel know what you really want to do and I'm sure they'll make it a special occasion. Your folks would love such an evening "away from the kids" and they can really celebrate their union in style!

How about a movie night-for just the five of you? At home? Ask them to get different kinds of candies, and some popcorn, and soda pop. Then, have a movie night for their anniversary. I hope this helps you.

how long would they have been married this year?

OK traditional is Ivory and Modern is Gold...so maybe you hold a theme party using these colours and items [well not real gold lol]

Maybe you can do a game theme night along the lines of funny things the people in your family have said over the years................for instance make a game card typed out with WHO SAID THIS and see who can guess the most correctly, if you have younger ones make sure they have a good chance of staying in the game with this.............

Hmm - nicely it actually relies upon how plenty funds you should spend - Anniversaries are a confusing one - are you able to discover the money for a week end away for them - you may get some low-priced bargains on the 2d - you should ask some kin to chip in to assist with the cost. i'm particular they are going to relish something you do for them. sturdy success!!

If you are not old enough to drive you are not old enough to spend too much on gifts. Give them a kiss and a hug.

a 60's or 70's rock and roll [or disco] dance party, they have to dress that way and have that kind of music.
