Would it be legal for the US to bring back segregation?

If there really is freedom of speech, you would take this question to be what it is and give it some thought.

It was once illegal to give Blacks certain right, now it's illegal to deny Blacks the same rights that was once forbid. If laws are pass to grant such right, can we not pass a law to take back those rights?

Calm down, I am not talking about bring back slavery; I am talking about segregation where we enjoy the fruits and pains that our OWN people create. Blacks always say that the WHITE man is putting them down, what if we give them some states and let them do their own thing, would that make since?

We can treat them like foreign countries, and if they are smart to produce, they can contribute to the economy, if not, hey they suffer for their own incompetence.

So what do you think? Is such a Bill possible?

A lot of our black leaders advocate separation of the races. I think they might be right. Segregation was legal until a court said it wasn't. Another court could now say it is. The constitution wasn't changed between those two decisions and wouldn't have to be now.

Any law change is possible as long as you have the majority to change the existing one. It happened in Germany with Hitler and it happened in South Africa in 1949 which brings me your idea .Theres a word for what you want. It's called APARTHEID. You saw where both countries ended up and both ideologies are regarded as "stains" on human history. Is that where you want to end up? Why you would want to do it is beyond me as I see it causing more problems that solutions. It didn't work for hitler and it didn't work for the South Africans. It's a failed regime structure.

So okay, just say you get your wish and you create a two distinct "countries" one black and one white. Do you realize that there are so many different shades of people in the US how do you decide who is to go where? What about the mixed race couples and their children? How about those who are neither black nor white? Like the Asians (Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Vietnamese) those from the middle east (Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran etc) or those who are "coloured" but aren't African American and come from Africa, the Caribbean or the subcontinent (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka). What about the Latinos? Where do they go? What about all of those non whites who DO contribute positively to your "white" society? You want to move them out as well?

You really make it sound as if the ONLY ones who contribute positively to the economy are "whites" and they are the only ones who deserve everything. I hate to break it to you but the modern US was built on the back of those who were enslaved and brought over to work on farms.

You know what I would see happening? Eventually you would have a labour shortage and you'd have to get the workers from somewhere or do you expect that you can just import "coloureds" to do the menial jobs and then ship them out again at the end of the day? Do you see where I'm going with this? Does this make sense to you? Really?

Of course I don't believe that any person of European descent has the right to dictate who goes where in the US simply because it's not your land. It never was. It still belongs to the Native Americans, you know the ones who you guys placed on reservations? (By the way what you gonna do with them. You can't move every other non white and not remove them as well)

Its funny how you mention how you want a separate black nation but you still want them to add to your economy? What is that? You can't have it both ways either they're part of the country or they're not. If I had my own country after being shifted from my own where I was born and bred and I started to produce I don't believe I'd owe you ANYTHING!!! Simply because it's not yours anymore (if it was ever yours to begin with) to dictate how or where produce and finance should go.

Personally I would think there are more productive ways to improve your country (eg greater educational opportunties better health care and a little more sensitivity about history) than to try and separate people based on the colour of their skin and your preconceived ideas about the notion of race. In fact why don't you go and actually speak to and spend some time with an African American and experience how they live life and some of their struggles instead of listening to the wrong sources and being being misinformed. Perhaps you may be smart enough to revisit your exteme right wing views.

ive always proposed this concept.i mean,we arent as civilized as we pretend to be.none of us.you cant force people to get along.why is segregation so evil?i think its quite the contrary.i think it would be the most responsible,realistic and humane solution to our racial tensions.i know im not happy with how things are.clearly alot of people feel the same way.why waste our energies hating each other?part ways amicably,build a real high fence,hook up about 250,000 volts of electricity to it,and walk away.we would have to then be responsible for our own environment,instead of blaming each other.perfect solution.in fact,id like to donate one of my Canadian provinces to the cause.the blacks can have queerbec,if you can get rid of the french.(good luck with that,theyre aweful tenacious)

I don't know, in a way I see your point, but I think other people, non deserving citizens would suffer... it'd be he*ll for some of us if this were ever so...

It should be but we would have to change the constitution. I think 'blacks' should be forced to live in Miss. and be banned from the rest of the country.
