colors are faded and screen flashes and is slow?

for a while now my computer has been acting crazy it is blurry and flashes in and out sometimes even my self healing does not work correctly what could it be

1.) Check whether the monitor cable is properly connected . (if its firmly inserted on the graphics card).

2.)and check the power cord of the monitor.

sounds like your monitor is going out. if it is in the 3 year warranty call the maker and see about having warranty work done on it. otherwise buy a new one.
