I am doing a research project on unsolved mysteries for English and I am curious with one of our topic choses. It is what really happened to Anastasia? Problem is I don't even know the story to begin with. I tried to search online, but all I can find is about her life like the person she is.
Can someone tell me in brief who she is, what is she known for, and what mystery is it with her?

What is most intriguing about her is because after her disappearance, a lot of girls have been claiming to be her, most famous of all those was one named Anna Anderson.
She was the Grand Duchess, daughter of Nicolas II, the last aristocratic ruler of Imperial Russia.

Anastasia was the youngest daughter of Czar Nicholaus II and Czarina Alexandria of Russia. Supposedly she survived the assassination of the royal family while her 3 sisters and 1 brother , her father and mother were killed by the Bolsheviks at Ekaterinberg in 1918. The story continues with a woman named Anna Anderson who under hypnosis and other psychological testing claimed to be Anastasia. What was truly remarkabe was her vast knowledge of the Russian court of the 1910's and her relaying of the information tothe Dowager Empress which would had been in line to the Russian throne if the monarchy would have returned. It is only speculation whether the Dowager Empress believed her or not but after taking DNA samples from Anna Anderson it proved she was not Anastasia Crown Empress of Russia.

Anastasia was the daughter of Tsar Nicholas Romanov, the last tsar of Russia. She was apparently the only family member to survive the assassination of the Romanov family in 1917. The mystery is: is she really who she says she is, and if so, how did she survive the assassination and the time since?

this is so easy! Anastasia was the last grand duchess of Russia, daughter of Tsar Nicolas. when a war started, her three older sisters and little brother, mother and father and her all went to live in a house with other people. her aunt helped the girls sew dimonds from their necklaces into their corsets. one day, someone took all the people down stairs and killed them all. but rumor has it that the bullet bounced off of one of the dimonds in Anastasia's corset and she was the onley one of the people to live.

She was a Russian(??) dutchuss who was suposively killed with her family. the mystery is that they didn't find her body after they shot the family and so everybody thought that the metal corset she wore deflected the bullet. as far as i know they still haven't found her body
