Steve Nash sucks bad! He's at age 33, in his 11th season, and doesn't know how it feels to play in the NBA Finals. The last 2 MVP Awards he won was a GIFT & he didn't deserve them. Steve Nash is straight garbage! He'll never win a title or play in the finals! Nash sucks!

Nash won't get the 3rd in a row. Voters will look and see that the distinction would put him in the company of greats like Larry Bird and realize how ridiculous this is.

Nash is a great player. But the idea that he could win 3 MVPs in a row is almost ludicrous!

I think Kobe should have gotten in last year for his transcendent performance (35 ppg; an 81 point game).
But this year, with Wade out, Lebron James digressing and Kobe's Lakers sucking, it's going to have to go to Dirk.

Dirk Nowitzki, 2006-7 MVP. You can write it down.

I didn't like him getting the award either, but I will give him his props. He doesn't play defense, which is the only knock I have on him. I like Kidd a lot better, but then he doesn't really have a outside shot. Some of Nash stats are from the system they run, but most of it is his skill.

Unlike sport announcers I don't believe winning championships determine whether or not your a great player. Stockton and Malone never won championships, but they were both great at their positions.....Bulls fan not Jazz.

Took me a little while to get over it, but I hated the thought of Nash winning three MVP's in a row. Just because the talk of him doing something Jordan didn't do, and somebody probably saying he was better than Mike because he got three straight and Jordan didn't.

Not a James fan, but I think with his stats last year he could have one it.....This year I would say Nash or Dirk should win.

Ok i finally realized you know nuthin bout bball.
The reason why the mavs were only a playoff team was because of Don nelson. Nelson has never reached the NBA finals either.
The MVP argument can go on forever. People said shaq and nash the first year...next year was kobe nash and lebron...this year its Dirk and nash.
The suns arent even a playoff team without nash. they went 2-4 this year without him. 2 wins against portland, and a struggling denver.
If you could honestly give me a PG over the last 3 years who has played better than nash and has meant more to his team than anyone i'll stop answering your questions and proving you wrong. (wade is a sg just in case you didnt know that)

I think Steve Nash is great, but 3 consecutive MVP great? I don't know about that! Nash is without question one of the most accurate shooting point guards of all time and as a passer he has very few peers, but he isn't doing anything now that he wasn't doing in Dallas.

With the Suns though he plays in a faster system, with very dependent players and total control of the offense. In Phoenix he has the ball in his hands 100% of the time, in Dallas he played with guys like Nowitzki and Finley, who unlike Marion and Stoudamire can create their own shots consistently. That's why he averaged around 17 points and 8 assist in Dallas, and in Phoenix his numbers inflated to averages of about 20 and 11. Because he makes every single decision on the floor!

But in both cases (Dallas/Phoenix) were contenders or at very least really good teams with Nash at the point. With all the responsibility he has on that team and the winning results they've gotten since acquiring him it's easy for people to pick him as an MVP.
