Awww---I am a year older and I remeber all of this! It's so exciting.....
I am still with the guy I 1st held hands with, and shared my 1st kiss with........we've been together almost 5 months.
Um......the 1st time we held hands was walking down the hallway. We have a class toegether, and we always walk to out next classes together. I convinced my pushy friend to make us.....like literally put our hands together, because people were already teasing us a lot.
Pbly not the greatest idea to @ school......
Just always have your hand down, and see if he'll take it 1st.
Or use a pick up like.....say....
"Hey, can you hold something for me?"
.....when he agrees put your hand in his and say "thanks". Cheesy, but it'll make him laugh!
BEST WISHES!!!

What do you mean by no criticisizm, do you realize how old you are or that means nothing to you. I am the mother of an 11 year old son and I can't imagine him talking about having a girlfriend. One thing leads to another, and it may seem like holding hands is nothing but that's a start. I suggest you concencrate on your school work and keep this person as a friend until you are mature enough to take things to the next level. For now, you are 11 and there are more important things to concentrate on than boys, you won't regret it if you were to focus on school and leave boys for later. Men come and go but an education is forever. Always remember that beauty fades and dumb is forever.

You are young to have a boyfriend, but I know it's pretty common for girls your age to have boyfriends so I won't tell you that you are TOO young. Holding hands is a nice way for young people to show affection. There are places where it's not really appropriate (like school), but most places would be OK. A good idea would be to talk to your mom or dad and get their feelings on the subject. Talking to them about things like this now will help open communications and earn their trust for when you are older. Good luck!

OK. I'm 66 so it's been a while...............
I reckon holding hands is OK. We all need physical contact, and I know that at 11 its too early for The Big It. Hugs are good though. Very good. Prob with holding hands is that everyone can see, and know you are dead keen on each other So. It has to be with friends who don't blab. Being alone is prolly not possible, and prolly not advisable.
Not easy.........
best of luck, tho!

Well, when I was your age, I didn't have a boyfriend. You seem pretty grown up for your age, you know how to type at least. Just keep it at holding hands for now, but if you ever get a bad feeling, just take your hand away. Remember, you don't have to do ANYTHING your boyfriend wants you to do.

I think your a little too young for a boyfriend, but when you guys are ready to hold hands it will happen with no pressure. Just let it happenon it's own.

It's OK to be nervous, your boyfriend is probably nervous too. Don't worry about where or when, when it happens, it happens you can't plan these types of things b/c if you do it only makes you feel more nervous and awkward!

I think you are little Young for this.I suggest for the time being enjoy other things like student group activities, study and ...
For sure time for holding hands will come later on, in life. And you are more experienced then.

awww thats so cute.
if your ready then go for it! no harm can come from that and itll be your first experience with a boy and thats pretty special.
if your not ready, and your feeling its a bad nervousness than dont do it. if you start giving in to what your boyfriend wants at age 11 then your bound to run into problems later with future boyfriends.
