my science teacher said that when you drink alcohol you are less sexualy active and that you probably wouldnt be having sex that night if you were drunk but i always here from people that do drink that they get wayyy more sexually active. We are studying drugs and alcohol . is it true of what my teacher says or is that a myth?

Honestly, it really depends on the person and the type of alcohol they're drinking. Alcohol does different things to different people. It's kinda like pregnancy. Some women while pregnant don't want sex at all, while others want it three to four times a day. Everybody's bodies take differently to different things. I, when drunk, just want to fight. I'm a mean drunk, but my boyfriend on the other hand, wants nothing but sex. He's more sexually active when he's drunk then he is when he's sober. Everybody is different, so you're teacher saying that you're less sexually active when you've been drinking is not totally a lie. For some people, he was telling the truth, for others, he wasn't.

i've never been drunk but i think when u drink u become hornier. and u want to do everyone and everything in sight. Ur science teacher is probably talking about when u get so drunk that ur really depressed and not horny. i dont think ur teacher is lying to u he just only telling u about one reaction people have towards alchol. he may be right in that alchol doesnt increase the hormones in ur body that crave sex but on average one night stands dont happen with people that are both totally sober

Your teacher is right. There is a difference between being high & being drunk. If drunk, a man might have sexual desires but is unable to follow through on them physically or if he can he can't climax & can go on for hours. If a guy thinks this is great, he's nuts. It is NOT a pleasant experience for a woman. I know this from personal experience.
I don't know about drugs. I don't do drugs & I don't date men who do drugs.

Yes, to a certain degree your teacher is right. If you over consume (past just being buzzed) alcohol then you will be less sexually able. Alcohol works as a depressant. Basically causes things to slow down in your body (reflexes, thinking,etc.). Same thing with marijuana.

You DO get less inhibited, and probably more horny mentally, but performance can easily suffer. Sometimes this is good. A young man who tends to ejaculate prematurely, might find himself lasting a longer time, because his nerves are less sensitive. An elderly man, though, might not be able to achieve erection at all, after a few drinks. So a lot depends upon your age. I can't say how it is with women.

Wow I can't believe you guys are even discussing this stuff in school. No wonder things go on like they do in schools. Anyway, it depends on the person, what they are drinking, how much they drink, how often they drink, etc.. Most people who drink too much usually pass out or vomit and who wants to be with someone who has done that. Don't always believe everything you hear at school.

Alcohol negatively affects your judgement, so you are more likely to take risks. So someone who normally wouldn't be sexually active would probablydo so under the influence. So in other words, your teacher is wrong.

When people drink to excess they are much more likely to behave like drunken morons and thus deter the members of the opposite sex.

i always thought that you have more sex when your drunk because you most likely are going to take chances with things and get pleasure no matter what. i'd say shes wrong..but i could be wrong too.
