The ovary is where the eggs are stored until they're ready to be fertilized. There are two. They connect to the uterus via two tubes (Fallopian Tubes) and when an egg isn't fertilized, it is simply "drained" from the uterus through monthly flows. Hence, we are cursed with periods. ^_^'

Is there some reason that you can't ask your mom this question? She would probably explain it all to you if you asked her and told her that you are interested in finding out how your body works. And she needs to have "that talk" with you soon, so that you understand your own body.

This is not "talking dirty" to you, it is simply information about how your body works. The ovaries (ovary) are the organs in your body that create and discharge an egg (or sometimes two or three) each time before you have your period or before it is fertilized by a male sperm and you become pregnant. You have two ovaries that are located beside each of your Fallopian tubes--the narrow passageways that are attached to your uterus.

Look it up in WebMD.com or any of the other health websites and you can see how your female reproductive organs are shaped, where they are located, and the proper name for each of them. Good luck on that. You need to learn about how your body works so that you can take good care of it.--you will need it for a long time to come!

an ovary is an organ in the female body that produces eggs. Women have 2 ovaries , one on each side of her body near the hip bones under the belly button. From the ovary an egg is released and travels down the fallopian to the uterus. If it is not fertilized it along with the uterine lining will be shed each month as a woman's/girl's period. Have a sit down talk with your mom and she will explain it all to you

OVARY; that is where your eggs are. They come out once a month and if it is not fertilized by a sperm cell, it will go with the shedding of your uterus; also known as your period. I think that you're a smart girl for asking questions; it helps a lot! And don't worry, you'll get your period some day!
