1v1...start at midfield, have two girls sitting on the ground with their backs facing the goal, throw a ball over their head and have them chase it down, the first to the ball is offense, 2nd is defense, if defense wins the ball they become offense etc. whoever is offense within shooting distance to the goal is able to shoot.

shielding....partner up, each set of partners has 1 ball and 1 water bottle (im sure plenty should have them at practice) designate offense and defense players (alternate), and offense should use their body to sheild the defense from the ball, defense should be trying hard to get the ball (regular rules dont apply, pushing is allowed), offense is trying to get the ball to hit the water bottle, so they can score.

knock-out - players dribble in a contained area, everyone has a ball, trying to knock each other's ball out of the area, once ur ball is out, ur out. last person left wins.

power/finess - 3 lines....1 on each side of the goal, and one about 20 yards out. 1 line passes a long ball to the shooting line (20yrds out), the shooter must one time shoot it using their laces. they continue to run after this shot and the other line plays them a short ball which they must finess into the goal (typically using their instep. this is all about placement. the shooter must make at least one of the shots to stay in the game. if both shots are missed the shooter is out and must chase balls. if the shooter makes both, they get to challenge someone else. the person challenged must then make both shots or she is out, if she makes both shots, the challenging shooter is out. last girl standing wins.

Get a good elementary soccer coaching book.

PS. Don't expect to get too much technical to soak in at that age...

I have coached everything my kids have played. 10-12 year old girls soccer is the slowest sport in the history of sports. Hell it makes curling look frantice at times. So have your cheese fries and a cold beer on me. :)
