I just introduced a second cory into my tank (I was told to intro them slowly rather than a group all at once), I noticed that the new cory began vibrating and lying on the first cory (which is larger and I presume a female)...This went on from the moment he entered the tank and until now (20 minutes later)!Would they try to mate this quickly? I've heard conditions need to be a certain way for breeding, so I have no clue if they would start at it like this! I also don't want any fry...I just want my group of cories, along with my platies! Any help would be appreciated seeing that I would want to return the new cory if it is a male and interested in breeding with my female cory!

Probably not. Usually when corys are about to breed you see a lot of dashing around and chasing going on. Vibrating is often associated with attempts to create dominance. It's a far less aggressive move than most fish make, but that's corys for you, very easy going.
