On a surface level, yes. I'm not so sure sometimes though...

I used to didn't for many years...UNTIL we moved in next door to them, about 5 years after we got married. I said, "Well, either we'll learn to get along or I'll finally freak out them!" So, it went along where we "played nice" for a couple of years and then I finally got really mad over something & told my mother-in-law off. We've all got along wonderfully ever since! :) So, it doesn't matter how things are going I believe you can always turn it around. You have to talk to things out even if it's in a not-so-nice way sometimes. What I am saying is, there is hope for those horrible in-law relationships that seem so completely hopeless! :)

My Father in law, I get along with very well. He's loved me since I fixed the engine in his boat for him. My Mother in law favours the guy her daughter was with before me and thinks I'm an idiot. She's coming around though. Give a few more years and a couple grandchildren.

Well, sort of. My mother in law adored me. She and I had a wonderful relationship because I accepted her for what she was, and vice versa.
My sister in law (husband's much older sister) was not one of my favorite people. She was very controlling and I don't take that crap from MY relatives, so we didn't do well together.
I'm not a fan of my brothers' wives. However, I adore my sister's husband.

I get along with my in-laws better than my family!!! My in-laws are beyond sweet and are always there when you need them. My mother on the other hand is always b*tchy and could care less!

In general I have my issues with my in-laws but they have been there for us and have helped us out. I mean everyone has issues. I don't always like my parents either.

my fatherinlaw, yes, he is a great man.
my motherinlaw, well we have our issues, or maybe I do, but we don't talk so I guess it's okay.
my sisterinlaw, the oldest, and I get along real well. She is great to me!
younger sisterinlaw, yeah we are good. I think of both of them as my sisters. my brotherinlaws are something else, good men they are!
now on my side I get along pretty good with the men my sisters married, but I must admit I barely know the women my brothers are married to, I guess it is because I am not that close to my brothers.

Mother in law, yes
Father in law, no (but he is a jerkwad with everyone, so no loss there)
