This happens ALL the time. When the GOP is getting heat, the Democrats step in and take advantage. But when the Democrats are in office, the GOP is looking for ways to trip them up too. It doesn't matter which side you favor...someone will always be scandalous. and that's what the media is looking for.
Bill Clinton was getting the rap for the whole Monica Lewinsky deal, and now we got Dubbya and the Iraq conflict, conspiracy theories, wire tapping, and more. The next politician will probably be getting it for pulling us OUT of Iraq.

Well, Donald Trump is now on record saying that George W. Bush is the worst president in United States history, Iraq is a complete disaster, and Condoleeza Rice never closes a deal, put is very photogenic. He went on to say that Bush should declare victory in Iraq and leave.
It's good to see someone of prominence speaking out against the worst president in US history.

The GOP is slang / moniker / nickname standing for the Grand Old Party. It is not the official name of the Republican Party.
