K so after replacing alot of stuff on my car(a trans, water pump and head gaskets) the eclipse has rod knock. Anyone got any suggestions on what to do from here.

You get a new engine or junk it.

drop the oil pan and loosen the rod,then pull the head and change the piston and rod.or it might be a rod bearing.you better hope the crank isnt scared,because your looking at some big bucks there.

If you have had the head off make sure it isn't a rocker arm. How do you know it is a rod

Yeah get rid of it. Jap cars will do that to you all the time.There money pits. Get out while you ahead of the game.

trade it in, your looking at a couple of thousand dollars to fix it by rebuilding the motor.
