yeah best excuse there is tell him he has no license so he cant use your car. period. if he gets mad he isnt a friend. you have to look out for yourself, no one else is going to.

You should first start out telling him that he is putting himself and a lot of other people in danger by driving without a license, and because you care about him, you would like it if he didn't use your car or drive without a license. If he asks why you said yes before, you could say, "I assumed you had been driving legally, but now you are putting yourself and my car at risk, so no."

Well how about the truth. He has no license and you arent going to risk losing yours just because he is your friend. If he is a true friend then he will understand the reason you are telling him no. What if he was to get into an accident and kill someone else??? That should be good enough reason dont you think???

Tell him that you agreed to lend him the car before you knew he didn't have a license. Since it would be illegal for him to drive it, and you'd feel terrible if he got busted, you've changed your mind. No matter how much he says he's willing to risk it, stick to your guns and keep saying that you'd feel awful if he got arrested for driving without a license because you enabled him to.
It's the truth.

i'd say that it's not your car, it's a rental or your parents and you have to give it back soon and you can't risk anything happening to then car because you would have to pay a lot of money to get it fixed. its a lie, but it can save you your liscense and your car. the other option is to act like you left your keys at a relatives and they couldn't bring it to you until the next weekend because they live far away. it might not work but you should still give it a try.

Tell him I said he can't borrow the car. JK
Seriously, tell him you didn't know he don't have a license & that his friendship means a lot to you but you can not be without your car if something were to happen.
And just a personal thought, if you let him borrow it anyway & he gets in an accident or gets pulled over just say he stoled it.

I wouldnt make up an excuse, because he will ask for next time. Put your foot down now and say "Its nothing against you- but I've decided that no one can borrow my car" Period. Or tell him the truth - If something happens when your driving my car -I'm liable!

So be a man and tell your friend you made a mistake and when he gets a license he can use your car.

Um.. just say no! Tell them it's illegal (and if they make fun of you then you have the wrong "friends") - but if he gets busted your license is not at risk.. just the car if they impound it (or he wrecked it) and then YOU have to pay. Get the keys back.
