fox body mustang

IMO 79-85 is best but some people think the 86-93 fox body looks better because it don't have 4 eyes

It depends on your goals and budgets. The Fox-body 5.0 Mustang is a great starting point because it's relatively affordable (although nice ones are getting hard to find at a good price), has a huge supply of aftermarket parts, and people have run them in virtually every sort of race imaginable, from drag to road racing to rally. The later V8 Mustangs and the turbo four cylinder ones are also good choices. Sure, it seems like just about everyone has one - but it's for a reason.

They're not the only option for muscle, though - virtually anything from the Big Three with a V8 made in the '70s or earlier can be made to go fast in a straight line, but some of them don't have much in the way of handling.

If you want lightweight handling in a good reliable package, it's tough to top the Miata. The MR2 is also a great choice there.

If you want a high powered import, go turbo. An all wheel drive Eclipse can be good for a low buck buildup, but most of them have been driven hard. If you can afford a newer one, check out the Lancer EVO and Subaru WRX.

Those are some of my top picks for cars that have a lot of support, both in terms of fans and aftermarket.

Honda civic, prelude, Acura Integra. Anything Honda (cheap parts) Eclipse, 3000GT. Depends your price range, and if you want to go tuner or muscle. Whatever you decide make sure you customize a stick. And spend carefully all the $$$ you put into the car you wont get back! Good Luck

Well if you want a real car you don't want tuner cars. So go with the muscle cars you get more for your dollar. Camaros,Firebirds and some Mustangs are cheap starter cars. They will give you lots of bank for the buck.

i own a shop, and any thing in the Honda line,or Nissan either one would make a good one to fix up Nissan has a few more models to choose from ,and the parts are a little easier to find for those also, and there's also a lot of American cars that look really cool fixed up,what you should do is just go out and look at a few,and maybe you,ll see something different than anyone else has that would look good all fixed up,anything different from what someone else has would be nice, good luck i hope this helps.

If its their insurance and their money then anything goes. if it's yours than you need to decide if this person needs to learn how to drive properly first or make your insurance go up first.
my freinds son got his license and only put a different body kit on the honda he had, the ins. agent got one look at the car and the kids insurance rate shot up to 5 thousand a year.
