A very tough question. On one hand it impinges on personal liberties of a person who has not been convicted of a crime in a court of law, and on the other hand it can serve as a deterrent to other crimes.

I can see it as adequate for sex offenders of both sexes and for convicted abusers/neglecters who continue to have children after others have been taken away. I think though, that the point is the line has to be drawn between the accused and the convicted.. only for a conviction should this ever be considered.

It would be horrifying if that ever came about. The Nazis did that in Germany. However, you may recall, that several years ago, there were doctors in the south (US) who sterilized black women without their knowledge or consent. Some people have suggested that as a solution for a myriad of problems, but that opens up a bag of worms. Once that is allowed, there is no way to stop people/ govt. from arbitrarily using it against innocent people.

No, but it would be a good idea to sterilize the parents female or/and male that physically abuse or/and murder their children before sentencing.

I believe that Vasectomies should be given free of charge by the government , I had it done and it is nothing , it can be reversible if one desires , it saves the woman from the side effects of the pill, so if you love your wife for her sake do it . Not to mention over population control .

No but I don't think we should have to pay per child either.
